Abstract: The article presents an analysis of the efficiency of dispersed reinforcement within the context of chemical resistance and operational durability. Limitations in the application of metallic and mineral fibers used in fiber-reinforced concrete production are identified. The prospects of using polypropylene fibers in modified matrices are substantiated. The physicochemical mechanism of Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) densification is examined. Dependencies of the critical fiber length on bond strength and chemical equations of pozzolanic reactions are presented, confirming the efficiency of the “silica fume – carbonate filler” binary system.
