The article explores the role of information technologies in the development of the country's agricultural sector, as well as options for their creation. The results of the use of modern information technologies in agriculture are highlighted. An important aspect of analyzing the resource potential of lands in any region is assessing their suitability for desired and potentially possible types of land use. To date, quite a lot of world experience in land assessment work has been accumulated. Analysis and modeling of land suitability for specific crops allows us to get an idea of the resource potential of the land. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the requirements of cultivated crops and the technology for their cultivation. Possible socio-economic and environmental consequences, which in principle may arise from the introduction of certain land use systems, have not yet been considered by specialists.
