Abstract
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in integrating Islamic financial principles with the concept of environmental sustainability. Islamic finance, based on the principles of fairness, social responsibility and prohibition of speculation, provides unique opportunities to support sustainable development. This paper explores how Islamic financial instruments such as murabaha, ijara and sukuk can be used to finance environmentally sustainable projects. Their impact on social welfare and environmental protection is analyzed, and examples of successful practices in various countries are considered. The article concludes by highlighting the importance of synergies between Islamic finance and environmental sustainability in achieving global goals of sustainable development and combating climate change.
