Annotaciya
WHO defines iodine deficiency diseases (IDD) as a spectrum of pathological disorders that can be prevented by normalizing iodine intake. The main reason for iodine deficiency is that a person usually does not receive enough iodine with food and water, which is necessary for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland (Onishchenko G.G., 2003). The experience of many countries of the world and our own shows that the most effective solution to the problem of iodine deficiency is to conduct adequate mass, group and individual prevention of iodine deficiency, as well as objective monitoring of the effectiveness of ongoing programs.
