ОЦЕНКА ГОРМОНАЛЬНЫХ НАРУШЕНИЙ ПРИ СИНДРОМЕ ПУСТОГО ТУРЕЦКОГО СЕДЛА

Аннотация
Empty sella is the neuroimaginal or pathologo-anatomical finding that characterized with intrasellar herniation of subarachnoid space into the sella turcica, which leads to loss of volume of the pituitary. The incidence of primary empty sella syndrome constitutes from 2% to 20%. ESS is one of the insufficiently explored disorders of neuroendocrinology. Most patients with empty sella syndrome are women with obesity, hypertension, headaches and visual impairment. The empty sella syndrome characterized by diversity of both clinical manifestations and hormonal disturbances and can sometimes reach severe complications, such as decreased visual acuity, liquorrhea, and papilledema. Underestimation of hormonal changes can cause to inappropriate clinical management and not undergoing hormone replacement therapy. A multidisciplinary approach with the collaboration of endocrinologists, neurologists, and ophthalmologists is recommended for the making diagnosis accurately, treatment and surveillance of patients with empty sella syndrome.
