Abstract
The prevalence of diabetes mellitus is increasing every year, as well as the acute and chronic complications that accompany this disease. Diabetic nephropathy is one of the chronic complications of diabetes, so you should limit the intake of food that impairs kidney function. At the same time, dietary restriction may worsen the quality of life of patients with diabetic nephropathy. According to previous studies, aggressive treatment is important to slow the progression of diabetic nephropathy. Also, the implementation of an individual diet adapted to individual characteristics is an effective means of preserving kidney function.
