Annotaciya
For patients with diabetes, one of the main therapeutic goals is to achieve target glycemic levels. In the presence of NAFLD, the attending physician is faced with some restrictions when choosing glucose-lowering therapy. The drugs, in addition to sufficient glucose-lowering activity, must be safe for the liver and not have hepatotoxicity. In addition, glucose-lowering drugs must have proven cardiovascular safety, since type 2 diabetes and NAFLD mutually aggravate not only each other’s course, but also significantly increase cardiovascular risk.
