Abstract
This article analyzes the data obtained on the effect of barley seed size on 1000-grain mass, germination energy, laboratory germination, coleoptile length, root number and root length. According to the results of the study, it was found that as the seed size increased, their 1000-grain mass also increased proportionally. The 1000-grain mass of the largest fraction (2.5 mm) seeds was 3.7 g higher than that of the smallest fraction (1.6 mm), and this difference was also reflected in the laboratory germination indicators of the seeds, and differences were observed between the fractions.
