The article provides information on the growth and development of winter wheat, seedling emergence, overwintering, and yield in research conducted under short-rotation crop rotation systems in the conditions of Karakalpakstan. As a result of the research conducted in the experiment, when determining the germination of seedlings, it was established that the density of seedlings per hectare was 3090-3180 thousand plants, during the wintering period, 83.0-87.0% of seedlings were preserved in the field, during its growth and development, the plant height was 80.7-85.1 cm, spike length 9.3-10.4 cm, the number of grains in the spike 40.3-45.1 g, the weight of grains in the spike 1.68-1.75 g, the weight of 1000 grains 41.0-42.0 g, and the yield was 50.2-52.5 c/ha.
