The necessity of using green manuring for maintaining and increasing soil fertility has become apparent. In this regard, the task was set to study the improvement of soil fertility and maize productivity by selecting repeated and green manure crops and using them for green manuring. As a result of the conducted experiment, it was established that when maize was grown as the main crop and peanut, mung bean, perko, rapeseed, and a mixture of perko + rapeseed + mustard were sown as repeated and intermediate crops and used for green manuring, soil bulk density decreased and water permeability increased. The amount of nutrients in the soil and crop productivity increased, while the profitability level increased by 15.1–17.9%.
