Prevalence of periodontal diseases among 1-2 year dentistry students

Abstract

The article discusses the prevalence of periodontal diseases among 35 students of 1-2 courses studying at Faculty of Dentistry of Andijan State Medical Institute. Identified for signs of inflammation in periodontal tissues, which explains the presence of dentoalveolar anomalies and insufficient level of oral hygiene, which, in turn, was observed in 77.14% of students, explains the need for treatment and professional oral hygiene.
