Abstract

Gynecological morbidity among adolescent girls deserves special attention. Somatic changes accompanying the onset, development and end of puberty in girls are long preceded by preparatory changes in the neuroendocrine system, and the main regulatory link in sexual development is the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian system (HPOS).
