The importance of bone architectonics in the planning of dental implantation

The quality of the alveolar bone is important in the success of dental implantation and long-term results. Currently, none of the classifications of bone architectonics fully reflects the full variability of the ratio of compact and trabecular bone. This review is devoted to the analysis of scientific literature devoted to the systematization of varieties of alveolar bone architectonics and the assessment of their impact on the outcome of dental implantation. The results indicate the need for additional research to improve the classification of bone structure variants in the area of planned implantation.
