Abstract
This study delves into the examination of implicature phenomena within English and Uzbek languages, exploring various types such as conversational implicature, scalar implicature, and presupposition across a spectrum of discourse samples. Employing a mixed-methods approach comprising qualitative and quantitative analyses, this research identifies, compares, and scrutinizes implicature patterns, revealing both shared characteristics and distinctions between the two languages. Theoretical implications stemming from these findings underscore the intricate relationship between language structure, pragmatics, and sociocultural influences. Additionally, the practical significance of implicature research is highlighted, particularly in its applications within language education, cross-cultural communication, and translation practices.
