Аннотатсия
The article investigates the phenomenon of hidden meanings in discourse from a pragmalinguistic perspective. Human communication often extends beyond the literal meaning of words, relying on implicit information that listeners and readers infer from context. Such hidden meanings are conveyed through various linguistic mechanisms, including presupposition, implicature, indirect speech acts, metaphorical expressions, and contextual inference. The study examines the role of these mechanisms in everyday communication, media discourse, and political rhetoric. Particular attention is paid to the ways implicit meanings influence interpretation, shape attitudes, and facilitate persuasive communication. The findings demonstrate that hidden meanings constitute an essential component of effective discourse and significantly affect the communicative process.
