Аннотация
The increasing globalization of financial markets and international banking has intensified the need for accurate translation of financial and banking terminology across different languages. This study examines the translation strategies used for financial and banking terms in English, Russian, and Uzbek. Special attention is given to borrowing, calque, transliteration, descriptive translation, functional equivalence, and translation transformations. Using a comparative linguistic approach, the research analyzes semantic and structural features of selected financial terms and evaluates the effectiveness of different translation strategies in preserving conceptual accuracy. The findings indicate that borrowing and transliteration are the most common strategies for newly emerging financial concepts, whereas functional equivalence and descriptive translation are more appropriate for culturally or legally specific terminology. The study highlights the importance of selecting appropriate translation strategies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity in multilingual financial communication. The results contribute to translation studies, terminology management, and professional financial translation.
