Yuldasheva, Kamola
Abstract
The integration of digital technologies into language education has transformed traditional approaches to vocabulary instruction. Among various gamified learning platforms, Kahoot has emerged as a widely adopted educational tool capable of increasing learner engagement and improving vocabulary acquisition. This article examines the pedagogical effectiveness of Kahoot in teachingvocabulary by synthesizing findings from international dissertations and empirical studies. Drawing upon theories of gamification, constructivism, and cognitive learning, the paper demonstrates that Kahoot contributes significantly to lexical retention, learner motivation, and classroom interaction. The findings indicate that the integration of game-based technologies into vocabulary instruction can foster both cognitive and affective dimensions of language learning.
