Abstract

An increase in the number of abdominal deliveries increases the risk of intra- and postoperative complications, which can subsequently negatively affect the restoration of reproductive function. Contraception for women, in the postpartum period must necessarily be highly effective, safe (approved for use in the postpartum period, do not contain estrogens) and acceptable (prolonged). The method of long – term reversible contraception-intrauterine contraception (IUD) – is a safe method that is suitable for most women.
