Аннотация
The article presents the study results of the Southern Aral Sea region surface water sources. It was found that the studied reservoirs water quality in terms of general hardness and salinity in the population water use sections does not correspond to GOST 951: 2011 “Sources of centralized drinking water supply. Hygienic, technical requirements and selection rules”. The highest levels of total water hardness, depending on the season, are established in the Kyzketgen canal: from 8.4 to 37.2 meq/dm3 and the Muynak reservoir: from 9.6 to 11.6 meq/dm3 (the norm 7.0 mEq/dm3). Water salinity exceeding hygienic standards (1000.0 mg/dm3) is noted in the Muynak reservoir and the Kyzketgen channel: 1265.0 mg/dm3 and 1173.0 mg/dm3, respectively. Recommendations have been developed to improve ecological monitoring of the water sources condition in the Southern Aral Sea Region.
