PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF CARIES IN PERMANENT TEETH

Children up to 6–8 years old receive basic knowledge of oral hygiene, learn to regularly and correctly brush their teeth. Parents, together with the doctor, should teach the child hygiene, because it is at this time that the skills for self-care of teeth are laid and consolidated. It is important to form a positive attitude in the child towards visiting the dentist and individual prevention of caries at home. In order to prevent the development of caries in children, exogenous and endogenous prevention methods have been developed. The fastest growing bacteria occurs in a favorable environment for them, which is formed under different conditions. Such conditions contribute to a change in the structure of the enamel, insufficient cleaning of teeth from plaque and an increased content of bacteria in the oral cavity. This causes tooth decay. For prevention, you need to eliminate these predisposing factors.
