FUNCTIONAL TREATMENT OF CONGENITAL HIP DISLOCATION IN NEWBORNS AND INFANTS ON AN OUTPATIENT BASIS

Abstract
Objective: To prove the effectiveness of methods of functional treatment of congenital hip dislocation in newborns and infants. Material and methods: We analyzed the results of outpatient treatment of 102 children with congenital hip dislocation, with a Frame splint and an orthopedic splint of the clinic. Results: The results of functional treatment of congenital hip dislocation in 32 (31.3%) children were excellent, in 59 (57.9%) children good, in 11 (10.8%) children satisfactory. Unsatisfactory result was not observed. Conclusions: The results of treatment confirm the need for early detection of congenital hip dislocation and functional treatment. This avoids traumatic closed reduction with the use of a plaster cast and reduces disability.
