Annotatsiya

Objective: To improve the results of diagnosis and treatment of patients with thoracoabdominal injuries using a developed treatment and diagnosis algorithm that includes the use of minimally invasive methods. Methods: The results of treatment of patients treated at Andijan branch of Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care from January 2017 to December 2022 are presented. A retrospective analysis collected data of patients treated with diagnosis and treatment were carried out according to the generally accepted scheme and developed diagnostic and treatment algorithm used for the treatment of the main group of patients. Results: Retrospective analysis performed for 122 patients and almost in all cases used traditional methods of surgery. A total of 68 patients with thoracoabdominal injuries managed with developed diagnostic and treatment algorithm using thoraco- and laparoscopy. The number of unnecessary diagnostic laparotomies were reduced by 5,2% at the main group of patients. As well as, rates of postoperative complications decreased by 32% (including early complications by 26.1% and late ones by 5.9%), the average hospital stay was reduced by 4.3 ± 0.34 bed-days, and decreased postoperative mortality by 11.7%. Conclusion: Using developed algorithm leads to successful results in treatment and diagnosing of thoracoabdominal, It allows to avoid inadvisable laparotomies and thoracotomies, postoperative complications and shortens the duration of hospitalization of patients.
