Abstract
One of the most urgent problems of modern medicine is diseases of the liver and biliary system. A model of experimental calculous cholecystitis was produced on experimental animals and morphological changes in hepatocytes near the cystic part of the liver parenchyma were studied. The results of the study showed that in rabbits of the experimental group, the number of binuclear hepatocytes was three times less compared to animals in the control group. In animals of the experimental group, it was found that the volume of the cytoplasm of hepatocytes was significantly higher than in animals of the control group, and due to this, the ratio of the nucleus to the cytoplasm decreased. This can be interpreted as a reaction of hepatocytes in response to calculous cholecystitis, manifested by morphological and morphofunctional changes caused by stones in the gallbladder cavity.
