COMPARATIVE ASSESSMENT OF ACTUAL FOOD CONSUMPTION BY CHILDREN OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS WITH DIFFERENT DIETARY INTAKE

Characteristics of actual nutrition of preschool children with regard to seasonality and multiplicity of organized meals among children living in Tashkent city are presented in the article. The relevance of this study is due to the high prevalence of irrational and unbalanced nutrition, unhealthy eating behavior, as well as inconsistency of nutrition with physiological needs of children. Objective of the study: to provide a comparative assessment of children's actual consumption of the range and quantity of food products depending on the frequency of meals in preschool educational organizations and the season of the year. Materials and methods of the study. In order to achieve the set goal, 244 lists of menus prepared in preschool educational organizations (PEOs) located in Tashkent city with 9-10.5 and 12-hour stay of children and 3, 4 and 5 meals a day were studied. Analysis of the data on the actual consumption of products by children in PEOs with different meal frequency revealed an excess of physiological norms in the winter-spring and summer-autumn periods of the year in the use of cereals and pasta (101.2-166.3%); also in PEOs with 5 meals per day there was an excess of egg consumption (140-160%), in PEOs with 4 meals per day - of meat and poultry (120.1-122.5%); practically in all studied PEOs the diet lacked: fish, dry fruits, cheese and/or cottage cheese, drinks prepared with cocoa powder and potato flour. Conclusion: in the surveyed PEOs, children's nutrition has significant deficiencies in winter-spring and summer-autumn periods of the year. Obtained data indicate the need to increase the level of knowledge of employees of preschool educational organizations on the issues of nutritious nutrition of preschool children.
