PRINCIPLES OF SURGERY FOR INGUINAL HERNIA IN PERSONS OF OLDER AGE GROUPS (LITERATURE REVIEW)

Analysis of the literature review indicates that the tactics of surgical treatment of inguinal hernias in elderly patients is determined by the unique clinical picture, the severity of the hernia patient’s condition, the functional state of the organs, the duration of the disease, as well as severe somatic pathologies. The sufficient frequency of the disease, the difficulty of differential diagnosis, the development of life-threatening complications for the patient, as well as the unresolved unified tactical approach, hint at the unresolved and urgent nature of this problem.
