In recent years, perforation of the floor of the maxillary cavity is often detected in the following cases. In 80-85% of cases, gross removal of teeth and anatomical structures is performed without additional (3D or dental x-ray examinations) examinations, as a result of which the floor of the upper jaw cavity is exposed, and as a result, many symptoms are observed. 5-10% of incorrectly performed endodontic manipulations lead to perforation of the shell of the maxillary cavity, penetration of fillings into the cavity, secondary infections of the maxillary cavity and secondary infections of the maxillary cavity. In 5% of cases, the currently widely practiced Chinook lift (on open and closed ends), performed to restore missing bone tissue during dental operations, leads to tearing and rupture of the cavity of the upper jaw (Schneiderian membrane).
