Аннотация
Anomalies of the external ear occur in 5% of the total population. The most common is a combined malformation of the outer and middle ear, such as congenital aural atresia. According to N. Weerda, 50% of malformations of ENT organs are related to ear developmental anomalies. Malformations of the external ear most often affect the right side (58-61%), and most cases (about 70-90%) are unilateral [8,9]. With an estimated incidence of 1 in 10,000 to 20,000, malformations of the external auditory canal cause moderate/moderate-severe conductive hearing loss; Bone conduction thresholds are usually normal. About 70% of atresia of the external auditory canal is a unilateral process, boys are affected more often than girls, the right ear is affected more often than the left, all for unknown reasons.
