PATHOMORPHOFUNCTIONAL STATE OF THE LARRYNGE UNDER NORMAL AND PATHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS IN EXPERIMENTAL LARINGITIS

Аннотация
Purpose: To study inflammatory processes in the larynx in the dynamics of their development under experimental conditions. Methods: To assess the morphofunctional state of the larynx under normal and pathological conditions, the organ was studied in 86 adult rabbits weighing 2.0-2.5 kg. All animals were kept under identical conditions on a standard diet with free access to water. Results obtained: The acute phase of inflammation is observed on days 1-14 of the experiment. On the 1st day of modeling laryngitis, alterative changes are detected in the larynx. On the 7th day of the experiment, an increase in changes was observed in the larynx with a predominance of the exudative phase of inflammation over the alterative one. On the 14th day of the study, the mucous membrane with MPE and MRE was thickened, especially significantly with MRE (almost 1.4 times). Thickening of both the epithelium and the lamina propria underneath them was noted. On the 30th and 60th days of the study, the thickness of the mucous membrane with MPE increases (1.8-1.7 times), and with MRE - by 1.1 and 1.4 times, respectively, compared to the norm. A study of the larynx in the long term after modeling laryngitis (120-180 days) showed the progression of proliferative processes in its wall. Conclusions: The thickness of the layers of the laryngeal mucosa is not the same in rabbits of different sexes. The stratified squamous and multirow ciliated epithelium in females is thinner, and the lamina propria under the multirow epithelium is thicker than in males.
