GAFAROV Rushen Refatovich
Abstract
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is an important health problem in men associated with reduced quality of life. Implementation of phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE-5 Is) has revolutionized the management of patients with ED and PDE-5Is are currently considered first-line therapy of ED. This paper describes characteristics of the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and possible clinical side effects of medications from the PDE-5 Is group. PDE-5Is discussed in the article include sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, udenafil, avanafil, lodenafil, mirodenafil, youkenafil, SLx-2101 and simmerafil.
