Abstract
Today, despite the high level of diagnosis, exudative otitis media (EOM) remains a common disease. The authors of this article compared and evaluated the effectiveness of adenotomy in patients with adenoid vegetations in patients with different viscosity of middle ear exudate. The volume of the adenoids was not as important as the contact with the tube rolls. The effectiveness of adenotomy was 82% in children with grade I adenoids and 88% in children with grade II and III adenoids.
