ANATOMICAL STRUCTURE OF THE DISTAL PART OF THE CARPAL BONES IN CHILDREN AND CHARACTERISTICS OF INJURIES

This article is devoted to the anatomical structure and injuries of the distal part of the carpal bones in children. The wrist has a complex anatomical structure, with the wrist bone moving outward (supination) and inward (pronation) around the ulna. The structure of the distal part of the bones of the wrist and elbow is almost similar, and together they form the distal wrist-elbow joint. The distal part of the carpal bone together with the scapular and scapular bones forms the wrist-palm joint, while the ulna is formed by the articular disc with the scapular and triscapular bones. It forms a union with the pointed bones. In injuries of the locomotor system, injuries of the hand segment take the first place (69.6%), injuries of the lower third of the wrist bones occur in 20% to 50%. Half of them are metaphyseal fractures (50.5%), the other half are epiphyseal fractures, and the most common is osteoepiphyseolysis (26.7%). Unsatisfactory results in treatment are observed in (30-60%) points. In children, most injuries of the musculoskeletal system occur in the distal part of the wrist. One of its characteristics is epiphyseolysis, osteoepiphyseolysis occurs only in children and causes damage to the growth zone.
