Аннотация
Introduction. Vertebral compression fractures (VCFs) are common traumatic and osteoporotic injuries of the spinal column, significantly affecting patients’ quality of life. Timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment are crucial to preventing complications and disability. Methods. A review of modern diagnostic and treatment approaches for VCFs based on an analysis of current research, clinical guidelines, and epidemiological data. Imaging techniques (X-ray, CT, MRI), classification systems (TLICS), and patient management strategies (conservative and surgical treatment) are assessed. Results. Recent studies indicate a high prevalence of VCFs, particularly among elderly patients. Conservative treatment is effective in most cases; however, surgical cement augmentation (vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty) has demonstrated improved functional outcomes in cases of severe pain and deformity. A multidisciplinary approach is essential for optimal patient care. Conclusion. Vertebral compression fractures require a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment approach. Further research should focus on developing optimal patient management strategies tailored to individual needs.
