ALGORITHM FOR IMPLEMENTING A COMPREHENSIVE MODEL OF GERIATRIC PATIENT REHABILITATION IN OUTPATIENT PRACTICE

Practice Abstract Modern demographic trends indicate an increasing proportion of the elderly population, necessitating the improvement of rehabilitation strategies to maintain their functional independence. In Uzbekistan, the proportion of people over 60 years old is 9.1%, and by 2050, it is projected to increase to 20%, which will put additional pressure on the healthcare system. The primary diseases of elderly patients include cardiovascular, endocrine, and neurological disorders, requiring a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation. This article presents a comprehensive model of geriatric patient rehabilitation, considering biopsychosocial factors and gender characteristics. The proposed algorithm for integrating rehabilitation into outpatient practice aims to reduce disability, improve quality of life, and enhance the efficiency of medical care.
