Abstract
Acute cholecystitis (AC) is one of the most frequent gallbladder diseases requiring surgical intervention. In the elderly and old age, acute cholecystitis is often complicated by various comorbidities, which increases the risk of postoperative complications. This article presents an assessment of the effectiveness of cholecystectomy from mini-access in the treatment of acute cholecystitis in elderly and senily patients. The study was conducted on the basis of the multidisciplinary clinic of Samarkand State Medical University (SamSMU) in the period from 2020 to 2024. The results of two groups of patients were compared: the first group - patients who underwent traditional open cholecystectomy, the second group - patients who underwent cholecystectomy from mini-access. The results showed that mini-access cholecystectomy has a number of advantages: shorter operation duration, lower postoperative complications, shorter hospitalization time and faster recovery period. These data indicate that mini-access cholecystectomy is a more preferable method for the treatment of acute cholecystitis in elderly patients.
