Abstract
Recently, biomarkers of bone metabolism, including biomarkers of bone collagen, have attracted great scientific interest. Numerous international studies indicate the importance of these markers in assessing the degree of bone damage, as well as the effectiveness of treatment of inflammatory bone diseases.Bone biomarkers are molecular compounds that reflect the intensity of bone metabolism, its disturbances during inflammation, injury, and tumor processes, as well as the body's response to treatment. Bone biomarkers can be divided into two main groups: Biomarkers of bone formation reflect the activity of osteoblasts and bone formation processes; Biomarkers of bone resorption indicate the destruction of bone tissue and the activity of osteoclasts. These biomarkers are examined in blood, urine, and other biological fluids and make it possible to detect pathological changes in bone tissue earlier than traditional diagnostic methods.
