EARLY AND LATE COMPLICATIONS OF THE NEW CORONAVIRUS INFECTION COVID-19 (LITERATURE REVIEW)
САМИБАЕВА Умида Хуршидовна
Abstract
A review of the literature data shows that the main complication in patients with COVID-19, which determines the severity of the disease and fatal outcomes, remains pneumonia in all countries of the world, the etiology of which is considered as a viral-bacterial associated infection, in which there is a high probability of developing diffuse alveolar lesion, manifested clinically by acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). At the same time, bacterial complications that directly affect the patient's health along with the coronavirus exacerbate the severity of the underlying disease. The body's immune response to the virus differs from the reaction it shows to the bacteria present, which increases the severity of COVID-19. Studies have shown that COVID-19 in its most severe manifestations causes the development of interstitial pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and multiple organ failure.
