The objective of this review was to systematize current experience with the use of electronic medical records (EMRs) in military medicine and assess their organizational and clinical significance. An analytical review of 32 domestic and international sources was conducted, focusing on three areas: standardization of medical information; integration of EHRs with telemedicine and military health monitoring systems; and use in combat and emergency situations. It is shown that EHRs ensure continuity of patient care during medical evacuation, reduce labor costs for document flow, and create a basis for clinical decision support and epidemiological analysis. Key implementation limitations were identified: technical (infrastructure and availability in the field), cybersecurity risks, regulatory gaps, and personnel training shortages. Future prospects lie in integration with AI and Big Data, expanding the research potential of real-world clinical data, and the development of network-centric models of troop medical support. The review resulted in a set of practice-oriented conclusions indicating that scaling up EHR in military medicine requires the synchronous development of infrastructure, the legal framework, and educational programs, which will improve the efficiency and sustainability of the military healthcare system.
