STUDY OF THE DYNAMICS OF PROLACTIN AND GLUCOSE LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH GASTRIC CANCER DURING THE PERIOPERATIVE PERIOD UNDER COMBINED EPIDURAL ANESTHESIA

Аннотация
Background. Data on the combined dynamics of prolactin and glucose in the perioperative period under combined epidural anesthesia in patients with gastric cancer remain limited. Objective. To assess changes in prolactin and glucose levels at stages T1–T3 under combined epidural anesthesia and determine their clinical significance. Materials and Methods. A single-center observational study included 39 patients (100%), with measurements performed at T1 (preoperative), T2 (intraoperative), and T3 (early postoperative period). Statistical indicators presented as M±m, Δ, Δ%, and CV. Results. Prolactin: 24.37±1.99 (T1) → 40.67±3.05 (T2; +66.9%) → 38.07±1.85 (T3; +56.2% vs. T1; –6.4% vs. T2); CV decreased from 50.99% to 30.35%. Glucose: 4.84±0.23 mmol/L (T1) → 4.65±0.17 (T2; –3.9%) → 4.66±0.18 (T3; –3.7% vs. T1); CV decreased from 29.68% to 24.12%. Glycemic values remained within physiological limits. Conclusion. Under combined epidural anesthesia, a profile is formed characterized by a “pronounced hormonal response with stable glycemia” and a reduction of interindividual variability; these findings confirm the controllability of the metabolic response in the early perioperative period.
