JUSTIFICATION OF MAXILLARY RECONSTRUCTION USING A TIBIAL BONE AUTOGRAFT

Abstract

The paper presents an analysis of domestic and international literature sources on optimizing the reconstruction of maxillary defects using an autograft from the tibia, taking into account the characteristics of the donor site as well as the possibilities for graft modeling and its osteointegration. It was determined that the use of a tibial autograft makes it possible to restore the volume of maxillary bone tissue in cases of severe and anatomically complex maxillary defects due to its capacity for precise adaptation to the shape of the defect and the formation of a stable bone framework, which creates conditions for subsequent functional rehabilitation.
