Abstract
Analyzing the literature data of recent years, we have identified an increase in the incidence of acute pyelonephritis, as well as a more frequent atypical course of the disease, and, in connection with this, difficulties in diagnosing the form of inflammation. The protective mechanisms of the genitourinary system consist of humoral and cellular reactions. Disruption of the balance between these systems, failure in their function, determines the path of development of the infectious-inflammatory process. Also, there is still no unified decision on the need to use immunocorrection and immunoprophylaxis methods in pyelonephritis, which is very relevant and necessary. Taking the above into account, we set ourselves the goal of analyzing the research conducted to date.
