Аннотация
The article is devoted to the study of historical-epic works of one of the greatest representatics of Karakalpak classic literature of the XIX century -a poet Berdakh. The poet Berdakh is considered to be a master of not only lyrical works, but also a talented creator of large epic works. Such works of the poet as “Amangeldi”, “Yernazar biy”, “Aidos Baba”, “Pedigree”, “Khorezm”, prove this fact. In these works of Berdakh major historical events that have taken place in the life of the Karakalpak people in ancient times and in the XVIII-XIX-th centuries on the way of struggle for freedom justice and independence, dreams and aspirations of the people. From this point of view, Berdach is the first Karakalpak historian. In the article it is emphasized the importance of studying the historical and epic works of Berdakh, at the same time analyzing the stages of studying his epic works before the period of independence have been analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the history of the study of the epos of Berdakh “Genealogy” in the Berdakha study of the 60-80-ies of the twentieth century and the tasks of studying the historical and epic works of Berdach are defined, the necessity to study this problem has also been comprehensively proved.
