Аннотатсия
The article discusses the place and role of idioms in teaching a second foreign language. Foreign language learning involves understanding the cultural characteristics of the language. In this sense, idioms play a special role, the figurative structure of which reflects the uniqueness of the language and some features of culture. The primary means of learning the idioms on the basis of the intercultural approach are idiomatically sophisticated the authentic texts. The selection among idiomatically complex texts should be based on the following criteria: the cognitive value of the text, its cultural value, compliance with the interests and language level of students (with moderate subject, logical and language complexity) and correspondence with a certain topic.
