The article discusses the functional typology of addressing in institutional and spontaneous discourse. It also examines the patterns of speech in Uzbek institutional and spontaneous discourses, the types and forms of speech etiquette, and the differences between the forms of speech etiquette of the Uzbek people in other nations, especially in the West.
