Abstract
The article is devoted to a comparative study of the phonostylistic features of Russian and Uzbek proverbs. The author points out that many proverbs are single verses based on iambic, anapaest and dactyl. Russian and Uzbek proverbs equally actively use such phonostylistic devices as alliteration, dissonance, assonance, onomatopoeia, and anaphora. The epiphora presented in Uzbek proverbs is not found in Russian.
