This article analyzes the issue of studying syntactic semantics of the sentence as well as the role and distribution of the final syntaxemes in the sentence structure. Also, attention is paid to determining the valence of final syntaxemes in simple and compound sentences in English. The article covers important theoretical and practical issues in linguistics within the framework of the topic.
