Abstract

The article presents the results of research on soil salinity in the irrigated territories of the South Aral Sea region. The development of secondary salinization in the region can be attributed to existing problems arising from the widespread development of irrigation, which determined the transition of automorphic soils to this issue, requiring the development of new approaches to irrigation development in the region. These ecological changes, seemingly insignificant at first glance, are gradually increasing and have the ability to accumulate over time, and we cannot predict when they will "pass" a certain threshold.
