Abstract

The article examines the process of the division of the Korean Peninsula and the emergence of conflicts between the two Koreas. At the same time, it is argued that the two Koreas have practically approached a state of peaceful cooperation, and their further integration depends on the resolution of external conflicts and deeper integration between the countries of Northeast Asia.
