Annotaciya
The article explores the image of the village in V.G.Rasputin's artistic world as the central ontological and axiological category of his prose. Based on the material of the novellas "Farewell to Mother" and "Money for Maria," the chronotope of the rural space, the motif of memory, the category of conscience, the poetics of the objective world, and the features of the narrative structure are analyzed. The village is interpreted as a cultural-historical archetype, as a space for the moral self-identification of the individual, and as a model of national existence in the context of the civilizational turning point of the second half of the 20th century. The research relies on historical-literary, comparative-typological, structural-semiotic, and narratological methods of analysis.
