Abstract
This scientific article examines literary translation as an independent field of translational activity. It analyzes the theoretical foundations, primary approaches, and translation strategies, as well as the role of the translator as an interpreter and co-author. Furthermore, it explores the practical challenges encountered when rendering a literary text through the medium of another language. Particular attention is paid to cultural aspects, stylistic equivalence, and the preservation of the authors unique voice. The article also reviews contemporary approaches to literary translation alongside the fundamental strategies and methods employed by professional translators.
