Abstract
The article examines the leaf morphology and anatomical structure of Atriplex aucheri Moq., a species distributed in the Southwestern Kyzylkum. The study revealed that the leaf is characterized by a thickened epidermis, dense trichomes, isopalisade mesophyll, water-storage parenchyma, and well-developed Kranz cells. The presence of a farinose coating on the leaf surface, as well as druse-containing cells, indicates that the species is adapted to salinity, drought, and high-temperature conditions. The obtained results confirm that Atriplex aucheri is a true C4 halo-xerophytic species under the environmental conditions of the Kyzylkum.
